The Plastic Ocean Project, NC Wildlife Federation, UNC-Wilmington Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and UNC-Greensboro cancelled the physical program of the Ocean Advocacy Workshop BUT will host this event as a virtual Workshop, stay tuned.
Everyday, we learn more about the declining environment - collapsing ecosystems, fires, floods, chemicals in drinking water, compromised oceans, and the lack of political will to protect them.
Are you feeling like you don’t have a voice? We can help you find yours.
The goal of this workshop is to learn how to advocate sound solutions through social media and political engagement to help protect oceans from human impacts. Inspired by the likes of Rosa Parks and Greta Thunberg, this generation is ready for action. You will meet everyday people who have taken on conventional norms, large corporations, the Navy, and accomplished major feats. They will share effective strategies, information and skills to empower you to the next level.
You, too, can ultimately influence critically important environmental policies and legislation!
