What is Operation 356?
The Operation 356 campaign is the screening of our documentary short, 356, that has been accepted into 8 film festivals. The storyline emerged out of an unexpected phone call that sends us on a journey to find 356, a newborn North Atlantic right whale. The end of this short film is just the beginning of the full-length documentary, "If the Ocean Could Talk - A Voice for the North Atlantic" the cry from one of the most endangered species in the world to tell their story so we need to save them.
We are touring along the eastern seaboard raising support and awareness to the importance of completing this documentary that highlights the urgency of saving the north atlantic right whales and by learning what we can do, will help protect all marine life. Town by town, we will bring communities together to support the message of hope for the Atlantic as we learn what we can do to protect it.
Though heartfelt, the finished film will be filled with hope and promise as it inspires people to listen. The documentary will take you to one of the most prized locations along the east coast, Hope Spot Hatteras and why this area is important to this story.

Why now?
Over 20 whales have been found dead, stranded on beaches across the East Coast in just a 2 month period in the beginning 2023. That number is continuing to rise with the increase in pollution, shipping, whaling (that's right, whaling in the North Atlantic in 2023) and sonar testing happening off of our coast.
These strandings are an urgent message from the ocean. Now is the most critical time to listen and act. |
