Rose Kurian
Rose is a senior at Isaac Bear Early College High School and also one of the coordinators for the Trash’n Fash’n Show. Rose started volunteering at the Plastic Ocean Project when she was 12 years old, where she attended some cleanups and helped interns around the lab. In her sophomore year, she co-created and became a part of the Trash’n Fash’n Team, where she helped organize and plan the Trash’n Fash’n Show, an event that she hoped would provide a creative outlet for the community to express themselves through fashion while also bringing awareness to our wasting habits and fast-fashion. |
Mariana Hernández
Mariana is a senior at Isaac Bear Early College who loves to read and listen to music as well as volunteer at the Plastic Ocean Project. During her sophomore year, she helped co-create the Trash’n Fash’n Show to help bring awareness to the harmful effects of fast fashion and to introduce fashionable ways to reuse. |
Lane Tompkins
Lane, a Sophomore at Isaac Bear Early College, has joined the Trash’n Fash’n team in its third year, driven by her love for the arts and her unwavering advocacy for sustainable fashion and ocean conservation. With a keen interest in fashion, she sees the Trash’n Fash’n show as an amazing opportunity to showcase her creativity and event planning skills, all while raising awareness about the environmental impact of our daily choices. She looks forward to the next Trash’n Fash’n show and continuing the event in the years to come. |
Marley Mitchell
Marley, a Sophomore at Isaac Bear Early College, has joined the Trash’n Fash’n team in its third year, and was captivated by the intriguing concept and the collaboration with the Plastic Ocean Project. She has a steadfast passion for ocean conservation and a love for the environment, which she hopes to showcase during the production of this show. With an increasing interest in the communications field, she hopes to bring forth her personable skills and advocate for the environment that we all share. She looks forward to planning the current and future Trash’n Fash’n shows. |
Violet Harris
Violet is a sophomore at Isaac Bear Early College. She has joined the Trash’n Fash’n team in her sophomore year due to her desire to protect the environment and the ocean. With her life-long passion for fashion, she sees Trash’n Fash’n as a way to raise awareness about the dangerous practice of fast fashion as well as improve her communication skills. She is excited to collaborate with other like-minded individuals to plan the Trash’n Fash’n shows for years to come. |
